How does it work?

Wild Yam naturally contains Diosgenin, a plant compound known for its role in supporting hormone health. Diosgenin influences the biochemical lipid pathways that contribute to the production of natural compounds, including cholesterol.

Cholesterol is the starting point for all steroid hormones, including progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, and adrenal hormones, which play key roles in your body’s overall hormone balance.

Our cream also contains Chaste Tree - traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to relieve menstrual pain and spasms, and help reduce the occurrence of menopausal symptoms.

How to apply

For external use only. To ensure optimal absorption, massage the cream well into one of the following areas per use and rotate sites regularly for best results:

  • Chest
  • Neck
  • Breasts
  • Abdomen
  • Inner arms
  • Inner thighs

MENSTRUAL PAIN & SPASMS:

  • Day 1 = first day of your period
  • Day 5 - 18: Apply 1/8 tsp (625mg) AM & PM
  • Day 19 - 28: Increase to 1/4 tsp (1.25g) AM & PM
  • Stop on Day 28, and restart on Day 5 of your next cycle
  • If no period starts, wait 5 days and restart (this becomes your new Day 5).
  • Spotting? Continue to Day 28 or until full period returns.
  • Initial symptom flare-up may occur - known as a “healing crisis”.
  • To get a feel for the amount, measure both doses once using a 5ml teaspoon and compare the amount on your fingertip.

PERI & MENOPAUSE:

  • Day 1 = first day of your period
  • Day 7 - 20: Apply 1/8 tsp (625mg) AM & PM
  • Day 21 - 28: Increase to 1/4 tsp (1.25g) AM & PM
  • Stop on Day 1 and restart on Day 7
  • If no period occurs, simply count to Day 7 and begin again.
  • If no recent periods: start on any day and count that as Day 7.
  • For hot flashes or night sweats: Apply a small amount to the inside of your wrists whenever they occur.
  • If symptoms continue, you may need to increase your dose or improve consistency.

POST MENOPAUSE:

*You are postmenopausal if it has been 12+ months since your last period.

  • First 2 months:
    Use 1/8 tsp (625mg) AM & PM daily
    + Apply extra to wrists for hot flushes/night sweats
  • After 2 months:
    Create your own monthly cycle
  • Day 7 = 7th of each month
  • Day 7 - 21: Use 1/8 tsp AM & PM
  • Day 22 - end of month: Increase to 1/4 tsp AM & PM
  • Stop and restart on the 7th of the next month

MEN:

For men, the recommended daily amount is ¼ of a 2.5ml teaspoon morning and night, used consistently.

It is suitable for me?

ANNA’S Wild Yam Cream is used by women of all ages - from early cycle years through to perimenopause and beyond.

We do not recommend using ANNA’S alongside hormonal contraceptives/HRT or any synthetic/manmade hormones, as these can counteract the benefits of the cream.

Men can also use ANNA’S. For men, the recommended daily amount is ¼ of a 2.5ml teaspoon morning and night, used consistently.

Scent & Texture

ANNA'S Wild Yam Cream has a slight earthy scent. We don’t use any perfumes or added fragrances in any of our products. Any scent you notice comes purely from the herbs and active ingredients.

    Wild Yam Cream — Individual Results May Vary

    I appreciate the intention behind offering natural health products and value the opportunity to try them. . That said, I also feel it’s important to share that each person’s body can respond differently.

    For me, Anna’s Wild Yam Cream appeared to aggravate my symptoms. I noticed increased inflammation in my legs, and my fibroid-related abdominal swelling did not improve until I stopped using the cream. This may be because I used it continuously rather than cycling it, as I am in menopause and do not have a natural cycle to follow.

    I’m still grateful for the company’s work in natural health and am sharing my experience to help others make informed choices, as individual results can vary.

    Reducing Breast Tenderness

    I have notice PMS and particularly breast tenderness have improved after 3 months. What i wasn't expecting were the additional effects that years of progesterone depletion had caused. Neck pain would start around start of luteal phase, and i applied cream to neck it give great relief and even reduced anxiety i was so used to i was pleasantly surprised by this. In addition my cycle is much more at ease and weight is returning to normal too. This cream is truly a gift from nature.

    Thanks for letting us know about your ANNA'S experience so far. We are sorry to hear you're dealing with some skin sensitivity concerns. We've got some info that might help: a small number of super-sensitive ladies have reported a pink, itchy rash about 2-3 weeks after starting ANNA’S.

    It's hard to pinpoint the exact cause, but it could be one of the herbal extracts, aloe vera, or essential oils. The good news is that this rash usually only appears where the cream is applied. If that happens, try rubbing the cream into the palms of your hands or soles of your feet – the active ingredients will still be absorbed, and you can enjoy the benefits without the rash!

    But before we dive deeper, a quick note: please double-check that you've purchased authentic ANNA'S from an authorised retailer. Unfortunately, counterfeit products are out there, and they've been known to cause skin issues. Make sure you're getting the real deal to ensure your safety and satisfaction!

    In rare cases, some extremely sensitive women have experienced a rash in other areas, so if that happens, it's best to stop using ANNA'S right away.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO USE THE CREAM?

ANNA'S Wild Yam Cream contains phyto sterol nutrients and no man-made hormones and can be used to relieve menstrual pain and spasms and to reduce the occurrence of menopausal symptoms for as long as you wish.

We suggest continuing with ANNA'S after you find relief from your symptoms to allow your body to maintain balance.

HOW LONG SHOULD IT TAKE FOR ANNA'S TO WORK?

Typically, it takes around 2-3 weeks, but some women might notice changes earlier or later – it's all about individual timing!  

One thing to keep in mind: some women might experience a 'healing crisis' where symptoms like sore breasts, irregular periods and mood swings might intensify initially.  

Don't worry, this is just ANNA'S working its magic!  

These symptoms usually subside within the second or third cycle. 

CAN I USE THE CREAM IF ON HRT?

We advise not using ANNA'S alongside HRT or any manmade hormones, as the synthesised hormones will counteract the cream’s effects. After successfully coming off hormones, we suggest starting the postmenopause protocol found in our user guide.

CAN I USE THE CREAM WHILST ON HORMONAL CONTRACEPTION?

We recommend waiting until you're off the hormonal contraceptives as they can disrupt your body's natural cycle, and it may take some time to adjust after stopping.

CAN MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER USE THE CREAM?

Yes, we would expect ANNA'S to help with the occurrence of menopausal symptoms after a hysterectomy. We would suggest you follow the Postmenopause protocol.
